Better PURLs

Some ideas on how to make PURLs work better:

Caching PURLs

The server caches the underlying page (updating it as needed) so the PURL shows up in the browser and the page remains persistent even after the site is gone.

CVS PURLs

I don't get it. Ask Eric Miller.

Google PURLs

When a PURL goes dead it tries to find the new page via Google. Problems ocurr when the page changes significantly (like a homepage move across two different companies).
